7. Alert Dispatcher - Address Book Groups

An Address Book Group is simply a short cut for selecting multiple numbers. It makes it easy to build send lists for quick selection of recipients. An individual number can exist in more than one group. On the left of the Address Book Group page, the list of all individual numbers exists. Using the Address Book Group page involves moving numbers from the Individuals list to various group lists. This does not remove the individual numbers from the individual list.

Adding Groups

In order to move numbers to a Address Book Group, you must first create a group. Enter a name for your group in the New Group box and click the Add new Group button.

Changing Groups

Once a Group has been created, you can populate it with numbers. Follow these steps:

  1. Select the group from the selector at the right of the Address Book Group label.
  2. To move new names/numbers into the selected group, select the check box for each number in the Individuals in Address Book and then click the Move Checked into Group button.

To remove individuals from a group, follow these steps:

  1. Select the group from the selector at the right of the Address Book Group label.
  2. To remove names/numbers from the selected group, select the check box for each number in the Individuals in this group list and then click the Delete Checked From Group button.

Deleting Groups

To delete a group entirely, select the group from the selector at the right of the Address Book Group label and click the Delete Selected Group button. This removes the group but does not remove the Individuals from the Address Book.
