TextPower's AlertManager is a web based application. You run it in a browser like any web page. By using cookies, it can keep you permanently logged on and can log you on automatically when you first open it. For that reason, you will need cookies enabled to run it.
The application consists of a set of tabs with each tab performing a separate function. The very first time that you run TextPower's AlertManager, it will open in the My Account tab. You will need to enter the same credentials that you use to send messages to TextPower. This always includes your UserID and Password. For the vast majority of users, that is enough. Users who have more than one campaign will need to enter the specific campaign that they want to run. Users with more than one keyword will have to enter the specific keyword that they want to run under. After entering your credentials, click the Logon and Save Account Parameters button to log on.
Most of your work is done on the Send Alerts tab. If you have saved your account parameters permanently, you will start in this tab. Here is where you create and start your sends.
The List Maintenance tab allows you to configure and maintain your lists, including your group tags.*
The SMS Send Record tab shows you a log of all your outgoing messages(MTs). To update your sent log to the latest data, click the Update Status button. You see 25 messages/screen. Use the paging controls at the bottom to see pages beyond the first one.
The EMail Send Record tab shows you a log of all your outgoing emails. To update your email sent log to the latest data, click the Update Status button. You see 25 messages/screen. Use the paging controls at the bottom to see pages beyond the first one.
See the detail pages for each tab for more information.
*Any tag associated with a phone number remains in the system until it is proactively removed by a TextPower customer (not the end-user; they cannot remove tags). Tags can be removed in several ways such as by uploading a file, using AlertManager's List Maintenance function, using an API call, etc. Note that only alphanumeric tags, not numeric-only tags such as location IDs, are displayed in the "Group" lists in AlertManager. AlertManager is designed to send messages to groups, not individuals, so displaying location IDs that are associated with just one or two phone numbers is not permitted in AlertManager.
