Who is ARCOS?
ARCOS provides innovative workforce management solutions that help utilities and other critical infrastructure industries manage people, work, and assets in a single platform. ARCOS enables utilities to quickly mobilize personnel for blue and grey sky work, manage native and non-native crews in a single system, and accelerate operations with field mobility tools that deliver real-time situational awareness. More than 200 utilities, covering roughly 2/3 of the gas and electric meters in the United States, rely on ARCOS to advance safety, reduce field costs, and improve response times and customer satisfaction.
Why TextPower and ARCOS?
Communication is one of the most critical responsibilities of utility operations, as they work to restore power during unplanned events and to maintain continued performance during planned work. TextPower provides best-in-class messaging that is already helping utilities better serve their constituents, reducing call center volume and maintaining clear lines of communication with customers. For more than 20 years, ARCOS has enabled their utility customers to streamline their communication with staff, contractors, and mutual aid crews, and is now looking forward to expanding those communications to include utilities’ customers. Like TextPower, ARCOS is proud of our high customer retention, a testament to our shared commitment to quality products and service.
Will we continue to get the same level of support?
ARCOS knows how critical 24/7 support is to TextPower’s customers, and we provide that same support level to all of our customers, as well. We expect the support level TextPower can offer to be even better as part of the ARCOS family, thanks to the additional scale and resources ARCOS can provide.
Are Mark and Scott leaving?
We know that personal relationships with Mark and Scott are an important driver of TextPower’s customer satisfaction. They are experts in the communications industry, and the drivers behind TextPower’s customer-focused product development. While they can certainly never be replaced, Mark and Scott will remain with ARCOS at least through the end of 2024, and will be working to ensure that the ARCOS team can continue to leverage their industry knowledge well into the future.
How do we ensure there is no interruption in service? Will we need to change our vendor name and/or bank/ACH information? Will we need a new contract?
While you should update your vendor name in your accounts payable process to be ARCOS LLC (and we’ll be following up with a letter to that effect), there is no need to do anything else for the time being. Service will continue without any change or interruption, and we will contact you directly in the future if any changes are needed to contracts or banking information.
