What if I move my phone number to another carrier?

Competition in the cell phone industry has become fierce in the past few years and consumers have the option of moving, or "porting" their mobile number to the carrier of their choice. This process typically happens either immediately or within 24 hours of moving your service to the new carrier.  

So what happens if you're using SnapID and you move your mobile number to a different carrier? In short, nothing.  SnapID handles all of internally and it will be completely transparent to you as a user or website operator.  All of the coordination between the carriers and SnapID servers is "under the hood" and will be functional at the same time that your number is functional on the new carrier.
